AARON KLEIN
PRESIDENT
Aaron is an accomplished drilling engineer with 22 years of Domestic and International experience. He currently serves the Managing Director of HGI Israel while continuing to provide engineering support to clients in the region. Prior to the founding of HGI Consulting in 2009, he started his career with Amoco working in varied roles and locations including North America, UAE, and Bolivia. Aaron also held roles as a senior engineer with BP and BHP Billiton before serving two organizations as the Vice President of Operations. The first was the established training and consulting business of PetrEX International. The second was the independent oil and gas producer Katana Energy. Klein graduated from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering in 1995.

JERRY SHURSEN
VICE PRESIDENT
Jerry is a seasoned drilling and completions engineer with an extensive well control background. He began his career as a production and completion engineer during his senior year in engineering school back in 1968. Jerry worked for an international drilling contractor as an engineer, operations manager, and area manager while raising his family in multiple foreign locations. He taught numerous engineering and well control classes and seminars in a wide variety of locations. Jerry has been an engineering consultant since 1976 and helped pioneer target-intercept relief well drilling and fluid dynamics-based momentum kill techniques.
Jerry received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Oklahoma University after attending SMU on a football scholarship.

KYLE O'LEARY
VICE PRESIDENT
Kyle is an accomplished drilling engineer with 17 years of Domestic and International experience. He started his career with BP working GoM Shelf operations and then moved to land operations as a drilling supervisor. Kyle has also held roles as Drilling Manager for South Texas Turnkey operations, supported various international projects including engineering training, Senior Drilling Supervisor in Deepwater GoM, Senior Drilling Engineer for 14 rigs in Permian Basin, Deepwater Drilling Superintendent and Senior Engineer for various domestic international projects including Israel and Falkland Islands. Has demonstrated the ability to thrive in various environments both in engineering and operations. Graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering in 2001.
